"My journey into leadership began unexpectedly. Initially, I was working as a contractor for the Sulekere lake desilting project. At that time, several political rivals tried to block my bills by filing complaints with the Lokayukta. However, the people of Sulekere stood firmly by my side. They insisted to the Lokayukta officials that 'Doddaghatta Chandresh must be paid' for the honest work done. Upon inspection, the officials found no faults in the work and cleared the payment. That day, I realized a powerful lesson: 'If we do the right thing, people will always stand with us.' This incident laid the foundation for my leadership skills."
